Founder: Sangharaj Ven. Jyotipal Mahathero. It is the first Buddhist temple established by Ven. Mahathero in Comilla district. He built this temple himself with some labour and without an engineer. Three monks and forty novices(samanera) are residing here. His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand has graciously presented His Majesty’s Kathin Robes to the congregation of monks at Baraigaon Kanaka Chetiya Vihara Complex Comilla, People’s Republic of Bangladesh, on 5 November B.E. 2553 (2010).
